Yellow Traffic Lights in School Zones.

Daegu and Daegu Police Agency will continue to install new 'yellow traffic lights', which replaced six old traffic lights in school zones last year. The installment will take place in 15 school zones(Dongseong Elementary School and 14 more) as an effort to reduce traffic accidents.
The traffic lights are colored with yellow, instead of typical black, and drivers are expected to recognize the light easily so that they tend to drive safer in school zones.
Teachers and students are giving positive feedbacks on colored traffic lights, that both drivers and pedestrians became more cautious after the installment. Park, a teacher in Maechoen Elementary school, told "the new traffic lights are helping drivers to be more careful as well as the students tend to go by traffic regulations better."
